| 1. | The amphibole is of high alkali, such as alkaline hornblende and riebeckite.
| 2. | Several localities contain the rare amphibole riebeckite and the even more rare mineral astrophyllite.
| 3. | Cummingtonite shares few compositional similarities with alkali amphiboles such as arfvedsonite, glaucophane-riebeckite.
| 4. | Its mineral association includes nepheline, albite, aegirine, riebeckite, katophorite and quartz.
| 5. | Associated minerals include quartz, potassium feldspar, muscovite, schorl, riebeckite and magnesite.
| 6. | Glaucophane, crocidolite, riebeckite and arfvedsonite form a somewhat special group of alkali-amphiboles.
| 7. | These are : anthophyllite, riebeckite, cummingtonite / grunerite series, and actinolite / tremolite series.
| 8. | Riebeckite-granites have close affinities to aplites, shown especially in the prevalence of alkali feldspars.
| 9. | It occurs associated with aegirine, riebeckite, barite, fluorite, albite, phlogopite and magnetite.
| 10. | Within this granite are darker bands richer in iron because they contain the pyroxene mineral aegirine and the amphibole mineral riebeckite.
