It is the duty of the Vaisya to practise agriculture and to cultivate the land , to tend the cattle and to remove the needs of the Brahmans . वैश्य का काम खेती करना , जमीन जोतना , पशुपालन और ब्राह्मणों की आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति करना .

What the Brahmans present to the fire to eat is oil and different cereals , wheat , barley , and rice which they throw into the fire . ब्राह्मण जो कुछ अग्नि पर चढ़ाते हैं वह है तेल तथा अन्य खाद्यान्न-गेहूं , जौ और चावेल-जिन्हें वह अग्नि में डालते हैं .

In our time , however , the Brahmans , although it is allowed to them , never marry any woman except one of their own caste . लेकिन हमारे युग में ब्राह्मण अपनी जाति से भिन्न जाति की स्त्री से कभी विवाह नहीं करते हालांकि उनको ऐसा करने की अनुमति है .

Ever since the Brahmans live by asking and begging , and the penal code is exercised under the control of the kings , not under that of the scholars . तभी से ब्राह्मण मांग कर और भिक्षा लेकर जीवन-निर्वाह करते हैं और दंड-संहिता पर राजाओं का नियत्रंण है , न कि विद्वानों का .

When she thus has wandered about through all parts of the world , she becomes food for the Brahmans and for him whose property she is . जब वह इस प्रकार संसार के समस्त भागों में घूम लेती है तो वह ब्राह्मणों का तथा उस व्यक्ति का भोजन बन जाती है जो उसका मालिक होता है .

Perhaps , he did so because he wanted ' to side with the Brahmans , to whom he belonged , and from whom he could not separate himself . शायद उसने ऐसा इसलिए किया हो क़्योंकि ? वह Zब्राह्मणों का पक्ष लेना चाहता था जो वह स्वयं भी था और जिनसे वह स्वयं को अलग नहीं कर सकता था .

I have seen Brahmans who allowed their relatives to eat with them from the same plate , but most of them disapprove of this . मैंने ऐसे ब्राह्मण देखे हैं जो अपने रिश्तेदारों को अपने साथ ही थाली में खिलाते थे , लेकिन उनमें भी अधिकांश ऐसे थे जो ऐसा करना पसंद नहीं करते थे .

At the time of the draupadi's groom seletion duryodhan,drupad,dhrishdhumn and other prople doubted that five brahmans are pandavas द्रौपदी के स्वयंवर के समय दुर्योधन के साथ ही साथ द्रुपदधृष्टद्युम्न एवं अनेक अन्य लोगों को संदेह हो गया था कि वे पाँच ब्राह्मण पाण्डव ही हैं।

In accordance with the belief of the Hindus regarding this increase and wane , the Brahmans sacrifice continually to the fire in order to earn heavenly reward . इस क्षय और वृद्धि के संबंध में हिन्दुओं के विश्वास के अनुसार ब्राह्मण स्वर्ग प्राप्त करने के लिए अग्नि में निरंतर होम करते रहते हैं .
