Sculptors from Bukhara, calligraphers from Syria and Persia, inlayers from southern India, stonecutters from Baluchistan, a specialist in building turrets, another who carved only marble flowers were part of the thirty-seven men who formed the creative unit. Some of the builders involved in construction of Taj Mahal are: बुखारा से शिल्पकार सीरिया एवं ईरान से सुलेखन कर्ता दक्षिण भारत से पच्चीकारी के कारीगर बलूचिस्तान से पत्थर तराशने एवं काटने वाले कारीगर इनमें शामिल थे।
