My left thumb is noticably ( to me, not so much to other people ) stumpier than my right, and I think it's because of the length of my first and second digit, as opposed to the position / length of the nail, but I can't figure out a way to measure the lengths accurately to within 1mm or so, because I don't have any expensive measuring equipment.
