The rehabilitation of the trombonist Roswell Rudd's career in the last few years has resulted in some unforgettable local performances : with the reunited New York Art Quartet last summer and with Sonic Youth at the Church of St . Ann and the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights last winter, a show so good that even after many minutes of Rudd's yawped declamations over the rock band's ringing drones, you still wanted more.
