The eka tantri is mentioned by this name from about the eleventh Century A.D . , though it is possible that the ghoshaka known during the times of Bharata might have been the same instrument . एकतंत्री वीणा का वर्णन लगभग 11वीं शताब्दी के पास मिलता है यद्यपि यह भी संभव है कि भरत के समय ज्ञात घोषक वीणा भी यही वाद्य रहा हो .
